We designed Ichorous for the 2024 Boss Rush game jam with a focus on making the core act of combat as satisfying as possible. This video by Cartoon Coffee highlights the various methods our team utilized in order to ensure a comfortable experience, while also breaking down the game design of Ichorous, Videos such as this one and many others played a large role in our team's decision to further develop Ichorous into a full game and put Blinding Lite on hold

The 2024 Boss Rush Jam was a massive competition, drawing in over 3,500 joins and resulting in more than 400 unique entries during the 2 month long development period. The competition was built around the jam theme of "exchange," challenging creators to implement mechanics where resources, abilities, or even health were traded for tactical advantages, throughout all of the submissions there was a unique implementation of exchange as the games basis.

As the lead programmer, Matt is deadicated to creating finely tuned experiences. Discovering his love for programming at a young age, it has finally been realized into various game jams and full projects.

Kyan is a pixel artist and game designer from Aotearoa New Zealand. He started making pixel art and scratch games as a kid in middle school and his interest in game development has since turned into a passion.

Mickael is a young student in game and audio creation working as the composer of the team. He always loved indie games and making music, so he's glad he can do both!
